Yet another week of no updates. Can't be helped I guess. A quick summary for the past week, going to sleep soon.
Had to prepare for tomorrow's Ops Brief again, Monday yet again! The most shagged day of all! Why must it always be Monday...
Anyway, I woke up around 1pm with spliting headache, probably due to chatting with Serene till it was like 5am? No wonder she's not tired because of her lifestyle of a vampire. Sleep when the sun rises and play throughout the night.
But it was great talking to her, our first since I left, updated me a little of the class, looking forward to seeing all of them again.
Lunch at Mean Bean cafe with Joel and Raymond, really love the Chicken Caesar Salad, and the garlic prawn rice. The salad makes me miss home almost indirectly. Damn.
Saturday 09/06:
Went to Midlands to eat Japanese food with the guys. Supposed to watch Ocean's 13 but apparently its only open tomorrow. So we switched to Zodiac, some show which is quite alright. Just a bit long and draggy at times.
Shopped a little essentials and bought dinner back before it was a marathon of the usual back in my room. Thanks to Weihong, we had delicious apple strudle!
As promised, told my little 'sister' what I didn't had the time to a few days back.
Sigh... How Saturdays pass so quickly...
Friday 08/06:
Fly or Not to Fly.
Other than a fire drill practice, for the whole day I was left in suspense of whether we were gonna launch the aircrafts.
Weather was really playing us out. One moment okie, the other not.
Guess what in the end? No Flying Yet Again!
EODD ended early, Zi Hao and I fought it out hard over table tennis for most of the night. Really intense rivalry and also good practice. Talked to him a little while walking back to our rooms from the squadron.
Thursday 07/06:
The only flying day for me, which is a so called 'luxury' because most of the trainees didn't had the chance to fly.
My first Instrument Flying flight, an eye-opener indeed. Where the once dominant sense of sight rules everything, we have to now rely on flying based on the instruments and never trust senses of our body.
Got a chance to fly in clouds for about 10mins while recovering back from the training area at 8,000ft. The feeling is simply just so scary and exciting. You can't see where you are going, so you never know what may suddenly appear.
But also having the thrill of doing such dangerous stuffs? Makes one wanting for more. Ever wondered what it feels flying in clouds? Well on my canopy screen, it is almost like driving a car in raining conditions. Some turbulence here and there, but simply exhilirating.
I like it. =p
Monday - Wednesday 04/06 - 06/06:
Weather had been poor over these few days.
Monday was overcast skies with winds up to 30kts.
Tuesday was almost similar, with stronger winds up to 40kts.
Wednesday was clear, but winds still persisting at 25kts.
Reason why we don't fly, it is because if we were to eject should the situation requires, the strength of the wind is enough to cause enough wind blast to severly injure the pilot. Be it spinal injury and even concussion or maybe death?
In the Aviation Industry, Life & Death is just a fine line. Oh how it excites me.
Yeah right. -.-
