Monday 30/04:
A story to share:
There was a journalist who interviewed a pretty successful business man and asked him how come he is so successful in what he does?
His answer was two words, “
Good Decision”.
Then she asked again, how do you make a good decision? His ans was one word, “
Experience”.
Then how did you gain the experiences? His ans was another two words, “
Bad Decision”.
This is the famous 212 story told by my Dy course commander and many of the instructors.
In order to be successful in what we do, we got to make good decisions all the time to make it through out daily work. The only way to be able to make such correct decision is by learning through the passed experience and specially those that was made bad.
The best way to learn is to learn from our own experience coz we will retain better but how many lives can we spare to learn from all the bad decisions.
It's surely not easy learning the experience others have and treating it like ours so as not to be in a dire situation that we might not come back alive to share it.
Today's weather remind me of Singapore, my home. Lots of periodical rain, strong winds, overcast and dark skies. Lucky for us, no flying today, if not it would have been a waste of time.
Also had a last minute standby bed, just like OCS. Pretty good scramble I did, got away with nothing. =p
Tomorrow, flying resumes. But will the weather play along or play us out? We'll see...

Sunday 29/04:
Whole student body confined for the weekend! Wheee~! Guess what too? I'm now the newly appointed course ic! Wheee~!
No booking out = No enjoyment = -.- Sianz.
Flying first: Weather not very good nowadays. Was planned to clear solo by this coming week but its pushed to the following week. More low level clouds and rain will really be a bumper.
Australia is really something. Whatever the Meteorological Officer says, 99.99% will be correct.
Respect.
My initial phase instructor have left for his new posting but in Singapore. Managed to take a photo with him but its with a friend. Really gonna miss him, what a waste for a great instructor like him to leave us.
Friday's mess was fun. 133Bwc's initiation night. The Aussie guys from 2FTS were invited too. The performance was pretty good, boss was pretty pleased. Food was not bad, the aussies are really a cool bunch of guys. Even though we fly different planes, but we're pretty much doing the same things here.
Also managed to talk with Cpt Phang before his departure back to Singapore. Talked to Col John Tan too, the one instructor I've been wanting to fly with. I shall wait patiently for it! The initiation went well uneventfully, however not without the Keith incident.
This initiation also means we now no longer have the mess under our responsibility! Haha no more late clean ups for us! That calls for celebrations! Drank quite a bit, a few of us. But beer ain't that much effect, unlike wine.
Tomorrow's event is just Safety Day for us. Which means no flying. That's because we have busted our monthly allocated hours with Aes. =p But once 1st May comes, here comes the hectic flying once again.
I envy no man because I fly.

Wednesday 25/04:
You know Life is So Funny.
Never seems to stop amusing me day by day.
1) Flying resumed. Just last week when I was flying everyday did I wish to have a break from the demands of military flying.
Guess what now? Due to the cold fronts coming in from the coast from the South, flying have been put on hold. Have not flown since last Thursday, feels almost like something's missing already.
2) Tomorrow is a holiday for us, so here I am, with time on my hand, updating myself of Singapore news, sports and friends. Where I chance upon several pictures, words and remarks.
It's like first thing that come to my mind is: "What the F*** la..." Don't even know what you all are up to. Feels almost like young adults becoming of age playing Hide & Seek like in kindergarden.
Freaking childish.
Anyway, just a quick update. My course will be approaching our 1st Solo Flight pretty soon. So what does it means, one will ask.
1) It'll be the 1st time we're out in the aircraft alone.
2) No more
!@##$%%$@ from the back seat.
3) Can't rely on your instructor should any emergency occurs. *Touch wood*
4) Its only about 15mins in the air, how bad can it be right? Because its our 1st, that's why.
5) Whatever it is, clearing it and then able to finally wear the 130 SQN & 1st Solo patch on our flight suits will be the biggest present I'll have for myself despite being thousands of miles away from home.
That's all, Good Luck to All having exams.

Monday 23/04:
To all that have received my sms, I'm already back in business. The moment my suspension was lifted, I was pushed all the way in order to catch up with my course mates.
Thus so the delay in updating.
After clearing the first test flight for the intial phase, now comes the most tricky one.
Our 1st Solo Flight.Which should be coming soon in the next two weeks.
It'll be fun indeed, finally able to fly without our instructors.
But what ever will happen if an emergency was to happen without your instructor seating at the backside to help you?
Think about it. =p
Right now, I'm only thinking about my events leading to our solo flight. Nothing else.
Save the nail biting thoughts when the day actually draw nears.

Saturday 14/04:
=)
YaY! My Laptop is fully operational once again, after travelling miles away to home and back to me again! How fortunate!
Let pictures show the way. =p
Louis, Joel, Benjamin, Raymond and I went out in one of the Honda Jazz. After much controversy by Jimmy, we were lucky to even have a car. Anyway Benjamin was having a really bad sorethroat that he sounded really horrible.
So we told him to shut up, but Benjamin being Benjamin, loves to express himself almost non-stop. Not that we mind but the voice was really a sore to the ears.
Visit to a Winery

Light Lunch
Of Course with Good Wine

On the way to Perth - Biker Dog
Ate Tim Sum again, second part of lunch, kinda a late one already. Went shopping in the city, kinda split up, which was pretty good too. Managed to get myself a book, "Dying was the best thing that ever happened to me".
The last book "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" didn't last as long as I thought it would. But I was surprised that just a simple book can bring you so much wonderful things. Strangers coming up to talk to me about the book and stuff when we were in town, really shows how friendly Australians are.
Left Perth for Fremantle, but reached there a little late for the shops, partly because of some of the guys not being punctual on the meeting time. -.-

Who says we need cars when we can have...
So we didn't get to shop, instead we walked through the festival and dropped by the coastal side. Can't believe what I saw...

Seagulls waiting to 'prey' on leftovers
Sumptous seafood platter, beats Fish & Co. x 100times
Grilled fish with Ceasar Salad
How delightful food can be, dropped by Little Creatures for a few drinks before we went back to base. Even though it wasn't as fun as last week, but I'm still satis thanks to the paranomic view.

Monday 09/04:
Easter Monday = Holiday
Sweet! =p
Woken up by 3 handphones, had to return back to squadron to do SDO duty. Other than that, the day should be pretty fine.
More to be updated as the day passes.
Sunday 08/04:
First thing that hit me was that my brother 'Kopi-O' came into my room at 9 plus in the morning telling me that I'm doing SDO today. LoL!
Supposed to be a peaceful day, but I got a call straight away from J Tan. Ran here and there, in the end I was out with Junta, Joel, Louis, Na-Na and Shrek! We went down to midlands to eat Macdonalds breakfast.
Believe it or not, its my first time eating fastfood ever since I left. As much as I don't fancy fastfood, but it was really good. A little of home feeling...
Everywhere was pretty much closed, except the movies, and we caught 300. Once again, its my first movie ever since I left. LoL... The movie was pretty okie, got me a little interested with the history of ancient Greece.
Headed back to change, but not before getting lost, ended up climbing up some mountain which we were able to see Perth's skyline. How beautiful.
Back to Perth, shopped a little. Met up with Vincent and his visiting girlfriend. Turns out that most of the guys all bought Tag Heuger watches, ranging around A$800-A$2200. Peer influence can be so scary. Luckily for me I don't really fancy these kind of high-class watches. High chance because of I don't really like cold metal on my skin.
Dinner was Hung Kee, nice roast pork, duck, chicken and soup. Pretty affordable too, about A$10 per pax. Headed back where I settled some of my duty stuff before the night began! Recently my luck have been suffering a little, yesterday came out A$20 positive and tonight only A$10 positive.
Saturday 08/04:
Slept till around 9 plus before Louis went about to gather all of us. Joel, Raymond, Tommy, him and I drove down to Perth, whereas the rest had already taken cab down earlier on.
Haha first thing was the 'Tim Sum'! Power pack. Not only the food was good, but the people, service and also met some familar faces like Wah Kiat and some AES guys.
Went down to city and walked around. Met up with our guys and Sarah, a friend of Louis. She brought us around, first was sing some Karaoke. Joel was 100% Satis, for sure. He loves singing.
We enjoyed ourselves alright, before we went to her a house for a while and departed for Frementle. Second time going there, but still loving it. A really nice place. Had a nice dinner and chilled at Little Creatures, with great beer, company, view, weather and service.
The other group were also here, together with the girls Ian brought along. Sad to say I'm a little disappointed with what I saw. A group of about 8-10 guys with 2 girls, drinks, and some actions. I know Ian is a nice guy, was sorry to learnt that he broke up with his girlfriend about 2 week ago, but to act like that...
Anyway we got back safely, was about to navigate pretty well, starting to learn the way and recognise roads. =p
Friday 06/04:
Went to J Tan's house, had a great laugh there with K Meta and J Lek there. Food was good, wine was fantastic, talk was amusing, all in all had a fun time there. Pity we had to leave earlier because the cab had already reached.
Thursday 05/04:
133 Bwc's mess initiation. Didn't really go according to plan, with certain things happening. Food was good, sushi by 131 Bwc due to the Solo Function celebrations. Managed to talk to Phang W a bit, turns out he leaves in Pasir Ris, pretty close to Zhimei.
Whatever happens here, no matter I make it or not, I'll keep in contact with him.
Monday - Wednesday 02/04 - 04/04:
It had to happen.
Didn't know what to do.
Confused.
Didn't know who to turn to.
Realise how much I really wanted it.
Despite all that complaining and ranting.
We'll see how it goes.
But to leave because of such of a reason, its really not fair at all.
Why me...
