What a week we had.
Totally no flying for myself and many others. Why?
Because of mother nature.
After last night of gambling, woke up around noon to go lunch with Joel, Louis, Raymond, Benjamin, Alvin and Zheng Nan at Rosie's Chicken. Had 3 big pizza, pack of fries, mixture of fish and calamaris and a big pack of chicken.
One word sums it all: Satis. (Means satisfied, its a short form used here in squadron.)
Finally able to update all these and pay my bills, life without my laptop would b disastrous!
Friday 09/03:
Flight got cancelled because of lack of aircraft! Just when the weather was great! And of all the people to cancel, why me?
Still waiting fo my first flight up in the air...
During happy hour in the mess, we had barbeque, practically standing there almost all the way to cook stuff till we ran out of food. As usual not enough to feed all, that's because of insufficient funding, but that's not in my area of concern. Mine is for the balancing and ultimately positive account of my guys' money. =p
We caught a really nice movie during mess too! The Right Stuff, movie about the space race between America and Russia and Astronauts. Really enriching history stuff! As usual, only about near 1am then back in accomodation block.
Tried the projector we borrowed from AES on my laptop and it works! YEAH! Apparently its just my LCD screen having problems, thank whoever who blessed me that all my documents and stuffs are all safe in one piece! Must buy a backup ad keep it somewhere already!
The problem is getting it fixed when we're all being confined to progress check, how long do I have to use my laptop using a projector screen? Even though watching a movie through it is like totally cool! Hmmm...
Tried my luck again! Heh, I was smiling while sleeping, just you all know what that means! =p
Thursday 08/03:
Got up to yet another super hot hot day. Temperature peaked at 40 degrees celcius at 11pm, there goes my first flight again! Nooo...!
Did night ops again, even though we had late in time today but I still feel really lethargic throughout the whole night ops duty. Got back about midnight and straight off to sleep!
Wednesday 07/03:
The Day that my dear Laptop failed on me! WHY?
No laptop = No internet = No access of all my music, pictures, notes, studying materials and everything else! ARGH!
Apparently weather reports are showing two cyclones north of us, one of them tracking left and the other southeast. Which may interfere with our operations!
Which also mean it would be my first experience of such a weather phenomenon! Scary huh? Just praying that we won't have the chance to 'see' it.
First flight cancelled again, because of super high temperature of over 40s. The weather is totally nuts here!
Night ops was kinda interesting, totally different from the usual day ops that we do. But reaching back in our rooms only after midnight is not funny. Really.
Tuesday 06/03:
Finally planned to fly tomorrow. Rushed to go through all that I need to know, preparing and stuff. Really excited, words can't describe of how I'm feeling now. I'll let you all know about how it went!
