First of all AFS stands for Air Force School, and the rest FEP Flight Exposure Programme and BMT Basic Military Training. After clearing all the requirements, me and two others got posted early to AFS from FEP, kind of a good feeling, at first.

Gone were days of FEP life, everything you expect from a military organisation is back, and naturally I received another culture shock. Big time. Back were the days or 11Bs and restricted choice of selection of food, greetings of superiors (which is actually everyone because we're the lowest ranking personel there) and strict programmes to adhere to and many more.

We received our temp pass, got our new rank and pt kit from the mart. Got a brief tour of the place and our classroom where we would be spending more of our times there. Did lots of adminstration and a brief interview by our Course Commander 2WO Sim.

Day more or less ended like that, left the school and headed to school to collect the trumpet to do some practicing for my parts, lost touch almost entirely. The new committee had a meeting so I happened to stay around, could see they will mostly very enthusiastic with many bright ideas. Well most of the times its like that, after a while it'll be quieter with only the same old people talking.
