We brought all our arms from the armory to some place, near 'W' Coy where several man in blue would check, probably clean and condemn some of the weapons. Their workshop was filled with lots of pictures which really attracted all the guys' attention. You know what I mean, =p.
We also became an SK warrior today. Don't know what it means? Just give it a guess after you read finish this passage. We were summoned by our Sgts from our admin time which was supposed to be used for our packing and cleaning up. We gathered at 'N' Coy's storeroom, lined up and grabbed flower pots, chairs and tables. All these have report at the place just outside the auditorium, it was where they took our pink ICs away from us. We marched there, arranged flowers in the auditorium, arranged chairs upstairs for tomorrow's enlistees. Oh well, brings back memories of that dread first day.
Pretty usual day. Just a surprise inpromto drills to sharpen us up. We went arms straight after dinner and boy were we happy! But the mood changed when we had to grab our field equipment stuffs and form up at the basketball court. My buddy eugene had to book out for some university interview, guess he was too excited that he signed on my box for the armskote book. PS wasn't very happy about and asked Eugene to report back to him about the incident when we book in again next time round.
Well with Eugene gone and me being his buddy, I had to step up as the new section IC. Crap. Had to scale the stairs to take Eugene's set of equipment too and we checked everything including the Rifle Cleaning Kit (RCK). Lots of problems for me to take note of and made known to PS. More work to be done and had to help Eugene make his new bedsheet and pillow case. What a bad day it had turned out to be.
